Mentor Assessments
The following assessments shed light into my journey of finding a mentor, and my developments in the process.
In my mentor search process, I contacted over 200 firms with goals of diverse outreach, consistent follow up, and steady communication, but faced repeated rejection and unavailability, which tested my motivation and resilience. Despite discouragement, I persisted and ultimately secured my first independently obtained interview.
In my interview with Aubrey Noonan, I gained powerful insight into the connection between criminal defense and civil rights, particularly through due process and constitutional protections. Her passion for systemic change, resilience as a woman in a male dominated field strongly aligned with my own goals.
